Dear code green organizers

Hi , just wanted to share my personal experience with the conference as a family doctor that has been practicing for over than 30 years and working hard as a lot of my colleagues of my generation we learned to work hard but not smart very bad in management finances and time and expenses to the extent no time to read or research or learn how to manage our practices and life and our income in an efficient way. To the extent we don’t have time to even consult professionals who are specialized in delivering the right advice and plan due to being over busy looking after our patients and Families. Unfortunately we end up in a vicious circle and a pit that goes so deep to the extent you lose hope that you can one day get out of that big deep bottom of the ocean.

Apart from being connecting with a great network of different professions that was attending that they Island the importance of having protection in different form of insurances including disability insurance critical insurance life insurance for myself and for my loved ones after my departure from this life. I learned about Investments mostly in real estate and to learn how to pick the right products that has short-term and long-term Investments value I learned the way as well the importance of planning for a pension plan and steady income for the time I will retire that will provide me a good quality of life me and my spouse after maintaining a certain style of life during my career. I also had a chance to speak and spend quality time with specialized members of those different teams that seems they have a specific plan and the right tools and experience to help me get out of the vicious circle and the rat race that I’ve been doing for many number of years. The one thing I regret that I didn’t get that opportunity to meet those people and have a chance to learn before I done so many mistakes that led to multiple Financial losses that could be easily avoided at that time if I had even half of the knowledge I know today. I wish to all my colleagues and all professionals in Canada whether new grads or newcomers immigrants like myself or professionals like Physicians lawyers dentist pharmacist chiropractors that’s study hard all their life to achieve their goals but are not smart enough to learn how to build a healthy Financial life and Future. I think that should be apart of a curriculum accessible and affordable to all kind of professionals and to be done on regular basis so we’ll be updated for all the changes that happens in this world that’s change every day very fast hard to keep coping with all these changes while we are super busy with our own careers. I want to thank so much my friend and Mentor Dr. Vu Tran that invited me and introduce me to this great event and great Network that I met that day.

Thanks, Dr. Samir Assad MD. CCFP
